The JT pickup concept which attracted a lot of favorable attention at car shows in 2008, was built on the standard JK Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited chassis with a 116-inch wheelbase. The pickup bed was from the J8 military version of the Wrangler manufactured in Egypt, which is available in a variety of body configurations and in left or right-hand drive. The JT's cab was built from Dodge Dakota and two-door JK parts. Unlike the J8 which has a 2.8-liter four-cylinder turbo-diesel, and leaf springs and a Dana 60 in back, the JT is powered by a 3.8 V6 and has the Rubicon's coil springs and Dana 44 front and rearends. It has 4.10 gears, Tru-Lok electronic locking differentials, and an electronically activated sway-bar disconnect. (Jeep Corp.)
