1953 Swiss Army Jeep

Marc Daenzer, Crissier, Switzerland

Marc writes, "This Jeep comes from the Swiss Army which used it since 1955 (first registration.) I bought it in 2003. I renovated it completely from October 2003 to January 2004.

"We have a Jeep parts importer in Lucerne (see Swiss Army Jeeps on CJ3B.info.) After a few weeks searching for parts, I found a good address: Beachwood Canvas in the United States, where I ordered parts untraceable in Switzerland.

"The engine and frame had been rebuilt 5 years ago. I started by changing all fluids and joints of the Jeep, changed the exhaust pipes and muffler, tires, engine and body mounts, brake cylinders and lines, and wiring. Now it's ready to roll."
