The deluxe Jeep Gala Rental Plan Guide was not the only colorful, expensive promotional booklet produced for the Surrey Gala by Willys Export Corp. in 1959. Apparently the promise of an identifiable target market (resort owners) who would potentially purchase fleets of vehicles, made this kind of advertising seem worthwhile.
Emil Bruce found this copy of Willys Form H1-3-59, a booklet suggesting the lease, rental or purchase of the Jeep Gala as a way of improving hospitality. Once again it describes the success of the Jeeps at Las Brisas in Acapulco, and it offers assistance from Willys in designing custom trim. Does anybody know of a resort which took Willys up on this offer?

Thanks to Emil Bruce for the brochure. -- Derek Redmond
