Spring Midwest Willys Reunion 2014

The Midwest Willys Reunion's 22nd annual gala spring gathering returned to historic Hudson, Ohio (between Akron and Cleveland) this year.

BrochureAs usual, the Spring Midwest Willys Reunion featured tech events, vendors galore, Willys folklore and rows of Willys and Jeep classics. The theme this year was Jeeps in Public Service.

Guest speaker at the Saturday night banquet was Paul Barry from Willys America, with an amazing slide show of photos of special-purpose Jeep vehicles, including fire trucks, milk trucks, tow trucks and his Civil Defense Rescue Truck.

Bob Christy has posted a video of Paul's speech on YouTube -- see Part 1 and Part 2.

GroupAnother highlight was the Sunday morning Willys caravan. A favorite stop last year was again on this year's route -- the M.D. Garage, a restored 1950s filling station which is part of Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

Saturday was rainy but it didn't dampen the fun. See the group photo below, and some of the Jeeps in attendance.
