Spring Midwest Willys Reunion 2004

This year's Spring Midwest Willys Reunion was held once again in Baraboo, Wisconsin on a Potomac Gray weekend in May. The featured Willys model was the Jeep pickup.

Not too many CJ-3Bs on display this year. Two in fact, plus a Mitsubishi J24 from Japan that Northstar Willys brought along, turning the Reunion into a kind of worldwide event. Click any photo to see a larger copy (100K JPEG). Photos courtesy of Wes Knettle.

The radiator screen, roll bar and electric winch are functional additions to Louie Larson's '53 CJ-3B. Louie has driven this Jeep from Minnesota to California and over the Rubicon trail.

Dennis West has upgraded his very original '54 3B with a few new touches since last year, including a military-style canvas tilt.

See Mitsubishi Military Jeep Photos on CJ3B.info for pictures of this type of Jeep in service.

See also the left side, the dashboard and driver's seat back (100K JPEGs) of the J24.

In addition to the 3B's, the parking lot display included several rows of pickups, wagons, Forward Controls, flatfenders, round fenders and chopped fenders.

Jim Marski and Daron Wanberg both made the long drive from Colorado. In addition to Willys literature, the indoor vending area was filled with parts, toy Jeeps and raffle prizes.

Thanks to Wes Knettle for providing us with photos again this year. -- Derek Redmond
