"A Jeep For Junior"

1945 Plans for a Pedal Car

Photo
These detailed plans for a Jeep riding toy are taken from the February 1945 issue of Popular Homecraft magazine. It features a V-belt pulley drive based on a water pump shaft and bearing assembly. The author says, "This jeep is the equivalent of around seventy hours' work. Total out-of-pocket cost was something less than five dollars...."

If anybody has a try at building this project, please let us know how much it costs you in today's dollars.
